SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS - PART 1

And its about that time again of the year when nostalgia starts to kick in as yet another spectacular Splendour in the Grass exited our lives. The annual 3 day festival at the North Byron Bay Parklands over 21, 22, 23 of July 2017, held more then 30 000 music crazed fans running around going nuts over some incredible artists. I unfortunately didn't get the pleasure of experiencing the whole 3 days however I managed to score a Day pass for the Sunday which I can hands down say "was one of the best days of 2017 so far." So I thought I would go through the whole lot of splendour starting from my overall top 10 in the lineup, the fashion, the food, tips on getting tickets, the art and to top it off my review of Sunday! So sit back and let the nostalgia kick in, or the jealousy if you didn't have the pleasure of attending this magical weekend.

SCORING A TICKET

scoring a ticket is by far the most nerve-wrecking experience you will ever be put through. You lie awake the night before with overriding thoughts that you'll fail to get yourself one of those golden tickets. First things first you have 3 attempts to get yourself a ticket 1. Pre-sale, 2. Visa Checkout Presale and 3. General sale. If you have never been to a splendour before, make sure you suck up someone's arse in order for them to score you a ticket. So its the big sale day! make sure you Set an Alarm, set an alarm 2 hours before just so that its fresh in your mind, then set another alarm for about 30 minutes before. This is when you literally sign onto your moshtix account (Hence sign on, if you don't have an account best be sure you make one) on every form of technology you own. (For example - This year I made sure I had my Pc, Mac, Toshiba Laptop and 2x Iphones signed into my account to ensure i got myself a ticket.) Don't promise your friends you'll get them a ticket. You can only get a maximum for 4 tickets for people, so if you know you don't have the fastest internet or only 1 device maybe pick your closest friend because the last thing you want is to miss out for yourself because your scrambling to add in everyones details. Finally Sign up to Visa Checkout. This step is often missed because not everyone owns a Visa Debit Card, however i discovered that you can sign up any of your credit cards and this will still work. Theres nothing more tedious then typing in your credit card details (unless you're super cray like me and memorise your details). And if you miss all three sales, then you better hope you can get yourself one in the re-sale !

Lineup - MY TOP 10

ummmm... excuse me while I hyperventilate! The lineup was absolutely magical this year which made it all the more depressing knowing I wasn't going to witness all of these amazing bands and artists.
